Silk Appeal

Stella McCartney S/S 2011
Nothing is more glamorous and makes you more desirable than a luxurious silk shirt. The androgynous shape to the shirt the way it falls and cascades into a waterfall of draping fabric is made more feminine by the way you can wear it, simply by adding a sheer panel and revealing some stomach, back or even a bra strap to make the look more seducing leaving the mind wondering what lies underneath. A silk shirt should be a staple in every girl's wardrobe, be it a slightly sheer number, a nude classic or a sexy black.

Formal: Tuck in the shirt into a tight black skirt and roll the sleeves up, unbutton the shirt to just above the chest and wear with a statement necklace.

Shirt- Stella McCartney, Shoes and Skirt- River Island, Chain- girldrops.com

Casual: Loose with leggings or skinny jeans with brogues or some flat ankle boots.

Shirt- Sykes, Brogues and Jeans- Topshop.

What I'm wearing today

I've noticed a lot of cobalt blue recently and I love it, the colour adds an instant pop to any outfit. Also Silk shirts are making a very delicious come back, for the confident girls out there wear it sheer with a sexy bra-let, for the more conservative like me wear with a white vest top underneath for day and a black one for night. I'm wearing my shirt with shorts and thick leggings and a sheer palm tree printed tee.

Shirt from New Look, owl necklace from Tesco, double bird ring from Primark, rock and rose perfume from the fragrance shop, Chiltern bag from Wanderland Boutique http://wanderlandboutique.com/, the website is not up as of yet but you can follow them on Facebook or go to their shop: 3rd Floor Afflecks Palace, 52 Church Street, Manchester.

Video killed the radio star

Okay so I was thinking how would people feel if I made a video, I mean nothing too strenuous, but just something like showing my wardrobe or like what I was wearing that day or something?
I'm not sure I'll come up with a better idea but I probably do one and see how it goes, won't be till after the weekend though, I'm busy moving out my house.

PeterPan

Forget Tea Dresses this spring, it's all about dresses, with a peter pan collar, originally dating back to the 20th century, Peter Pan collars were worn by younger children.
Fast forward a few (hundred) years and the style has been updated for the most girly of you out there.
Printed collars or plain collars, these dresses are perfect for late spring picnics and lazing around in the sun, well I can pretend about the sun can't I?
Indulge and wear.

New Look- £16.99
New Look have quite a range of PeterPan collared dresses, ranging from black to a camel colour, some have plain collars others have leopard print so it is worth having a look.

5 dresses every girl needs.

Every girl needs a dress for a special occasion, but what kind of dress do you wear? what style? what colour? I have made a list of the 5 different types of dresses you need to get you through any party, wedding or casual meeting for coffee.

LBD- Little Black Dress
Quite honestly no girl would be without her trusty little black dress.
Although plain in colour a black dress can be re-invented by a pop of colour from a pair of shoes or jazzed up by a statement necklace. A black dress can be worn with heels for a night out or flats and a cardigan with a belt for a daytime look.

Dorothy Perkins- £15
Wear with peep toe shoes and a bright cardigan for a working look, simply take the cardigan off for a party look.

New Look- £9
a shift dress is a lovely cut for all figures, this dress is perfect for a night out but due to the high collar is also good for more formal occasions when teamed with opaque tights and print flats.

Peacocks- £16
With some cute stocking look tights and wedges this dress is perfect for a night time look, it is also casual enough for a day look and with the peter pan collar and long arms it is a good investment for the spring months.

LPD- Little Print Dress
Quite often overlooked a printed dress is wonderful to capture people's attention without being too over the top. Great to wear from day to night a printed dress can take you anywhere.

BooHoo- £10
With the V-neck this dress is sexy enough for a night time look yet the arms make it sophisticated enough for the daytime. The print is subtle enough as to not be making too much of a  statement but colourful enough to draw a bit of attention.

Fashion Union- £14
The print on the dress will most definitely draw in people's attention wear with nude legs for a night look and black leggings and pumps for a more formal affair.

Rare- £15
The lace insert breaks up the floral print making this dress easier on the eyes. Perfect for spring picnics and days out yet versatile enough for a night out in heels due to the short hem. The shoulders add a little more to the dress and make it a statement.

LCD- Little Coloured Dress
A base colour dress is perfect for brightening up a dull day or night.

Red- Sexy for every occasion

Fashion Union- £10

Rare at Topshop- £15

Yellow- the perfect colour for the spring months

LLD- Little Lace Dress
Lace is the absolute must have for every girly woman, it is very feminine and makes you feel fragile and delicate, wear it in white for a day time look but switch it up to black for nights out.

A/Wear at Asos- £40

Rare- £56

Stella McCartney at Browns- £1070.00
I know it's very expensive but I thought it was too pretty not to feature, if any of you out there do have a spare grand go ahead aha.

Miss Selfridge- £45

LSD- Little Sparkly Dress
Not to be confused with a drug although the glitter will send you to another world, the LSD is the on stop dress to let every girl shine.

Bank- £15
Subtle shine for those that want to make an impact but not be centre of attention, to wear in the day cover the sleeves with a cardigan or jumper and wear with pumps.

Lipsy at oli- £25

Rare- £15
the gorgeous jewel colour attracts attention and the glitter keeps the attention, save for special nights out with the girls.

Rare- £20
Who says sequins are just for Christmas? Beat the myth and wear this beauty out where there are flashing lights and disco balls.

Rare- £20
For the girls with a gorgeous figure wear this for every occasion you want to wow.

Alexander Wang at Browns- £350
Again this is pure indulgence but the wrap around dress is figure flattering and the subtle sparkle and leather adds some rock chic to this dress.

If you have one of each an LBD, LPD, LCD, LLD and LSD you will be sorted for every occasion life throws at you, however if you are anything like me why stop at one of each.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

sorry I'm so late on wishing everyone this, (house trouble) but hope you al had a lovely evening and made some cracking resolutions.
