Wish List

Wish List: 1,2,3,4
1: Grey topshop maxi skirt, I already have this skirt but in black but I fancy a grey one as well so I can wear a shirt and grey maxi cardi with it and some cute shoes.
2: Peplum shirt from ASOS, peplum is everywhere and I do not have the figure for a peplum dress so my compromise is this top which looks like it should be super flattering teamed with a black skirt and boots I reckon it would look quite good.
3: Ombre trousers with elastic cuff from ASOS, I do not wear trousers very often but I love the look of these, they look summery and casual so I can just wear them with a vest some sandals and be ready for a day in the sun. These are on my payday list, so we'll see.
4: Topshop flats, I would never normally even give these shoes a second look as they are not very me but I thought with a pair of shorts or a skirt they would look kind of cute, these are £60 from topshop and more than I'm willing to pay but maybe a copy pair from Ebay or something might be coming my way this payday.

Burberry: Emerging Talent

Christopher Bailey chief creative designer of Burberry has used British emerging music artists in the new eye wear campaign.
One night only, Marika Hackman, Daydream club and life in film are all participating in the campaign as well as one of the acts releasing an exclusive track each week for the month.

What do you think about Burberry going against the grain and enlisting help from un-known people rather than huge celebrities?

21st Spa Day

For my 21st Birthday my mom organised a Spa day for me and herself, we went to Fairview Lawn Spa and it was absolutley amazing.
The room was so big and comfy, now I'm one of those people that always check out the bathroom in a hotel to see how glam it is and I must say these did not dissapoint, waterfall style shower, black tiled floors and complimentary toiletries you just cannot complain about that.
Robes and slippers were complimentary so we slipped into swimming costumes and spent the next 24 hours in a robe and slippers, it was bliss.

We were booked in for a dry floatation and a mud chamber experience.
On the first day we did the mud chamber experience, we were put in a black mosiac room with colour changing lights and had little tubs of mud that we had to run into different places, grey mud for face, black mud for arms and so on until we were completly covered in mud.
After that steam was used so the mud would penetrate deeper and faster we sat in there for 40 minutes until a light mist came down and washed it all off.

We then spent the day relaxing by the pool, sunbathing and trying out the various steam rooms.

Evening meal was a 4 course with bread, starters, main and desert.
My mom had told them it was my birthday so there was balloons and the chef gave us a complimentry apple foam and raspberry jelly, it was so strange yet really refreshing.
I had the goats cheese, steak and then cheese board, my mom had duck parfait, steak and a souffle I think?

After that it was time for a lie down so me and my ate chocolate in bed and watched anchor man.

In the morning I was sitting in the room reading when I heard a knock at the door, so I opened it to see 2 girls standing there with breakfast, baloons and presents, some how my mom had managed to sneak my birthday presents in and give them to reception without me knowing.
So we had breakfast in bed (rise krispies, toast jam and tea) and I opened my presents which included a camera and money box.

Before we knew it, it was time for our dry floatation, we were laid on 2 beds wrapped in sheets and had eye masks placed on our faces, the woman then set up the beds and left what happened next was so peculiar the bed started inflating with water and then proceeded to vibrate on and off for 30 minutes I dropped off and before I knew it the woman was back waking us up and telling us it was over, I can't believe how relaxing it actually was.

We proceeded to do EVEN MORE relaxing in the steam rooms I went for a swim and we sat in the sun till it was time to go home.

The whole day/night was even better than I could have imagined and I must have thanked my mom a million times over because she put so much thought and effort into the whole thing.
Think maybe next year it's my turn to treat her!!

Hand Chain and Bow Tie

For the whole month of April I'm on a shopping ban to try and save money for my holiday so it's a good job I bought these in March with my birthday money.
Both from ASOS I used the Style Saver and they got here today.

I've been seeing some gorgeous girlie and cute bow ties around and I wanted a cheap but nice one and was looking everywhere and then I found this beauty on ASOS reduced Oh Yes! So snapped this bad boy up, I'm wearing it with my River Island shirt but reckon it will also go well with my blue chiffon shirt from New Look.

As well as bow ties I've also seen some hand chains knocking around I remember being 12 and having a pearl and gold hand chain but I broke it and that was that so I'm happy to be seeing these around again.
This one is a goats head chain with an adjustable ring, again reduced from ASOS.
I reckon it's more for nights out then a day sort of look but none the less it will definitely get it's wear.

Anybody got any goodies to show?

OOTD: first one ever!

This is the first outfit post I've done, it's a bit sketchy but I'm sure I'll get better the more I do, might try the next lot in the garden who knows.
Anyway I'm layering my new jumper my boyfriend got me from zoo with a vest from Topshop because of the unreliable British weather we never know if it's going to be cold or hothothot, the skirt and ring is from Topshop, necklace from ASOS and the shoes are from some local shop that I can't remember the name of ?
Excuse my horrible nails for some reason they keep breaking and splitting anyone know of any product that could sort them out?
Any one got any OOTD to show?

Lana Del Rey: Vintage Americano

Lana del rey kind of sprung up out of no-where and captured our eyes and ears with her breath-taking voice and beautiful lyrics, she went on to win a Brit Award and I for one have been listening to her ever since, her album is a repeat offender on my ipod and I have listened to many of her songs not released on youtube, do yourself a favour and just search her name and listen to the raw talent.

But not only is her voice unique but I find myself looking at her for fashion inspiration she does the classic sexy siren look very well but I prefer her more sort of vintage americano look myself with a twist using gold jewellery and pretty shirts.

I took a pretty recognizable picture of her and tried to re-create the look with buys off the high street and this is what I got.
